I just forgot to say one thing. You know today I was up on the stage playing the piano right? I was nervous and I was practically going according to the speed everyone could sing. And I had not been practising for a whole week. I hope I will get more used to it in Term 4, when I have to play for longer time and take over Izumi. And today during music lesson my group failed miserably. I hope they are given another chance to perform.

And today was Geography test. I suppose everyone dies, as usual, except for a few smartypants like Toon Min and Chao Xu. For me there is no hope. There was 3-mark question asking about the Nile river. I skipped the whole Nile River notes!!! So three marks are already gone for me. My fate is so twisted. I read so hard on the topics she happen not to test and read little on the topics she test most.

Now I have nothing else to say, so I shall include jokes.

This few pictures are jokes which are recieved from Toon Min:

Funny? I almost laughed my head off when I saw it. Toon Min is really humorous, isn't he? On no its getting late... I think I have to go to bed. To think the tests are here. I have finished my English, Literature, Chinese common test, Maths test and Infocomm Studies test. Today was Geography test. And it is somehow unlucky that my birthday falls among a series of tests. On Saturday we had so much fun celebrating my birthday, which is on the 5th August.

First, in the morning, I had my usual personal erhu tution. At 12pm , my friends started streaming into my house. First came Chieh Loong (this soccer fanatic from ProEd currently), and then Yu Xuan (computer games fanatic from ProEd also), Kai Kiat, Jia Ming and Douglas (from RI). I had invited 7 people to my house but only 5 people turned up. I did not invite anyone from 1N (except Jia Ming and Kai Kiat). I had intended to invite Huang Bin and Zhen Huai, but the both of them were more used to speaking Chinese than English, and every one of my classmates spoke English with me except the two of them. If they get invited there would probably be some sort of language barrier. So I only invited my classmates last time. =S

So we began the afternoon with a round of badminton at the void deck (There was no sign saying we couldn't play). But the wind just had to interrupt our game and make everything turn chaotic. And after that we went back to the flat and ate lunch: pasta and pizza. Afterwards we played soccer while Kai Kiat went upstairs to play computer games. It was an exciting match. They let me choose my team, saying that I should have the privilege because I was the birthday boy. I chose Chieh Loong the soccer fanatic in my team, versus Yu Xuan the computer games fanatic (anyway I was wondering why he didn't join Kai Kiat to play), Douglas and Jia Ming. Actually we lost terribly, but then Jia Ming wasn't keen on playng after a while, and kept on begging me to let him go and play badminton. But I refused. So Jia Ming kept letting us score as he thought we would let him go if we won. We didn't. XD Until Chieh Loong's dad came and fetched him home.

Thereafter, I and Douglas fought in table tennis whereas Jia Ming fought Yu Xuan in badminton. Douglas is a TOTAL PROFESSIONAL. The way he spins the ball, WOW!!! He can make the ball spin 90 degrees!!! Guess who won? Me, because he is now in CCA squash and is used to hitting hard, so he would keep hitting the ball out? But anyway I promise that if he was not so careless he would thrash me to a pulp completely. Then Jia Ming came and joined us because Yu Xuan went home. Jia Ming is REALLY lucky. He just started table tennis this year, but he keeps on managing to shoot at the edges and win. =(

After a while we were all tired, so we went back to the flat and played with Kai Kiat. And at home we played with the mini table tennis table. We kept on hitting the ball out because we were used to the big table, which is four times the size of this mini one. In the end we decided to go down and play again. We enjoyed it. And Kai Kiat just played computer non-stop. =S

Soon it was evening. We came back for dinner and had KFC, according to Jia Ming's preferences. Then we played computer till 9 o'clock plus and everyone went home. I think Kai Kiat played to much computer and was 'blur' because he even forgot how he came here and who fetched him here, so Jia Ming's mother had to give him a lift to the Hwa Chong bus stop.

Then it comes the final moment. I opened the presents. Douglas gave me a Parker pen (as usual like last year), Chieh Loong gave me an ang bao, Jia Ming gave me three Maple Story a-cash cards, and Kai Kiat gave me nothing but helped to train my Maple Story character to one level. Maybe thats his present. And Yu Xuan gave me a lego car to build. He always thinks I like to build stuff so from P4 to Sec1 he has been giving me things to build. In P4 he gave me a Lego bionicles figure to build. In P5 he gave me a Gundam figure to fix, in P6 he gave me a Lego water speedboat to fix, and this year he have me a racing car. It is heartwarming to know that he knows me so well. =)

Guess you have had enough about my birthday. Mr. Quek is going to check blogs soon, so I am creating another post for today. Bye!!! =)

Term 3

I guess I haven't written for a long time. Lately I have been quite busy with my homework, so my apologies to the avid readers of my blog. Well, time flies. I remember entering class 1N as a child who knew no one except for Jia Ming. Now I know everybody in class quite well, and can socialise with them without much difficulty. Now it is Term 3, the last term before our end-of-year exam starts. I hope I get exempted from some of the exams. I am quite confident about Chinese, Maths, Science and History because these are the topics so far that I have gotten consistent A1s in. If I get exempted for all these, then I would only need to do Geography, English, Literature and Infocomm Studies!!! But then again, I still need to work hard for the Term 3 tests. Because if I even have a single A2 for the subjects that have hope of getting exempted. Nervous. =S

And lately I have been addicted to Maple Story because it is so FUN!!! But I don't get to play often due to homework and parents "leniency". Speaking of work, I haven't finished a History Essay assigned by Mr. Ong. And there is supposed to be a Maths test on Tuesday. On Statistics and Indices. I hope I get an A1. According to everyone, it is quite easy. I am more worried about Geography, Literature, English and Infocomm Studies. But it is not so soon. Thank God.

I know that I haven't been blogging for a long time and should make this post longer but I can't as I have work to do. Okay I will tell you all the jokes that I have come up with over this weekend.

1) A bald man walks into a hairdressing shop and sees a teenage barber with fashionable hairstyle. Desperate to get hair, he says to the teenager, "If you can make my hair look like yours I will pay you five hundred dollars". "Sure, " replied the barber. the barber then shaved all his hair off to look like the bald man. =)

2)The below joke is a chain joke from my email:

>>In order to assure the highest levels of quality work and productivity from students, it will be our policy to keep all students well taught through our program of SPECIAL HIGH INTENSITY >>TEACHING (S.H.I.T.).

>>We are trying to give our students more S.H.I.T. than anyone else. If you feel that you do not receive your share of S.H.I.T. on the course, please see your lecturer. You will be immediately placed at the top of the S.H.I.T. list, and our lecturers are especially skilled at seeing that you get all the S.H.I.T. you can handle.

>>Students who don't take their S.H.I.T. will be placed in DEPARTMENTAL EDUCATIONAL EVALUATION PROGRAMS ( D.E.E.P. S.H.I.T.). Those who fail to take D.E.E.P. S.H.I.T. seriously will have to go to EDUCATIONAL ATTITUDE TRAINING (E.A.T. S.H.I.T.).

>>Since our lecturers took S.H.I.T. before they graduated, they don't have to do S.H.I.T. anymore, and are all full of S.H.I.T. already. If you are full of S.H.I.T., you may be interested in a job teaching others. We can add your name to our BASIC UNDERSTANDING LECTURE LIST (B.U.L.L. S.H.I.T.).

>>For students who are intending to pursue a career in management and consulting, we will refer you to the department of MANAGERIAL OPERATIONAL RESEARCH EDUCATION ( M.O.R.E. S.H.I.T.). This course emphasizes how to manage M.O.R.E. S.H.I.T.

>>If you have further questions, please direct them to our HEAD OF TEACHING, SPECIAL HIGH INTENSITY TRAINING (H.O.T. S.H.I.T .). Thank you, BOSS IN GENERAL, SPECIAL HIGH INTENSITY TEACHING (B.I.G. >>S.H.I.T.)

PS. Now send this S.H.I.T. to 5 or more people who need S.H.I.T. in their life, just not the same person who sent you this S.H.I.T., they have already had their fill of S.H.I.T. Thank You for your time. Sincerely, The Director Under the Michigan Bureau of Super High Intensity Teaching. (The D.U.M.B. Guess I haven't posted for a long, long time. And this time I am laden with jokes. Don't worry about that part. I promise that you would go away from my blog laughing on-stop. Or maybe you won't. Let's just find out. And anyway, today was Project's Day. Ya. PROJECT'S DAY!!! THE MOST DREADED DAY OF ALL DAYS!!! And I am certain I flunked it completely. You know what happened? While I was presenting, I got nervous. And I kept stammering as well as saying wrong words. The judges were like laughing. There are so many profound words in Chinese. I wish I did Language arts for English instead of Chinese. The reason I first chose Chinese language arts was because I wanted to do something on Chinese martial arts novels. And I was very enthusiastic about the idea. However, when Bian lao shi had her first IRS meeting with me, Shun Xiang, Kai Kiat and Jia Ming, she rejected my idea and said since Chinese martial arts novels was the current Chinese curriculm for the Secondary 3 and 4s, the Chinese teachers, or the judges, the judges might get bored at the prospect. But she said that if we really wanted to do about Chinese martial arts novels then she would just support us.

Suddenly, Kai Kiat gave the idea of doing about dragon robes. Bian lao shi agreed. Then we had a vote to see what topic to choose. Everyone chose dragon robe while I chose Chinese martial arts novels. I lost. So it's actually not much of my fault that I flunked because I was only confident and interested in doing about Chinese martial arts novels. -.-

And speaking of Chinese martial arts novels, I have started on a new one. Remember I told you I was reading 'tian long ba bu'? Now I am reading a book called 'shu jian en chou lu'. It is said to be the first book Louis Cha wrote. I intend to finsh Louis Cha's whole collection by the end of this year. So far I have read 4 sets. Each set consists of 4-5 books, a total of 1000+ pages for each set. However this set that I am reading now only has 2 books, so I think I can finish it in a month or so. Anyway it's getting late so I have to go.

Joke of The Day:
1) Fortune teller: I charge five dollars for two questions.
Man: Isn't that expensive?
Fortune teller: No, I don't think so. Now what is your second question.

Now, I got to go. Bye.

Oh no... One last day

Hello again. The holiday is going to end soon. And I still have a whole lot of homework not done. I have the PCME portfolio not done, and I don't think I can have the time to do it. So I have to leave the opportunity of 5 ACE alone. But so far I have called everyone, and most of them say that they don't care about memorising the speeches, so I will follow their example as I think I also have no time to memorise any stuff over the whole holidays. And I still have to do Operation Bookworm. I hope I can manage to find 14 new words in "The Adventures Of Huckleberry Finn" for this whole week. It's a new book I have picked up. I finished reading Anne Frank in the middle of June. And I types out a short reflection on it and printed it out.

There is now currently one thing that I am "in". That is Chinese martial arts novels. I am still reading "Tian Long Ba Bu". But I am at the fifth and last book already. I spent a few days finishing 1, 2, 3 and 4. And I think its really nice. But after all I shouldn't be too enthusiastic about this as I am actually posting this for English lesson and I should not be too excited about Chinese stuff too much. But in my opinion, Chinese martial arts novels are my favourite genre of books. And for these few months, I have been watching the World Cup with my father. We enjoyed the Argentina match of 6-0. It was cool.

A pity my father... Sigh... Lately, I came across a piece of news at a small corner of a newspaper, saying that there was a new illness spreading around. It was actually a special type of flu in which normal medicines could not cure. Scientists are working on the new bacteria. Thank goodness my father assured me that it was not as deadly and contagious as SARS, dengue fever or bird flu. So far my whole family has gotten the special flu except me. Hope nothing happens to me. :S *cross fingers*My father is practically going to the doctors' everyday. He was the one who was first down with that flu. Then my mother and sister caught it. But his case is really major while my mum's and sister's case is minor. My mum even ate the really spicy noodles today for lunch like me! Actually I don't think its that spicy because I am used to it. But my sister can't stand it. And I bet my dad was jealous. He kept looking at my full-of-chilli soup with... envy? but couldn't order it since he was sick. Hope I don't get sick. I love spicy stuff. =) They boost my appetite.

Sigh... Now my dad's gone to sleep. Usually in the holidays he would watch World Cup with me, but today... sigh... I bet it's because of the sickness. I really hope I am fine. Okay, bye. Still no jokes, sorry. At least no good ones. See ya. Its getting late here.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://holycripes.blogspot.com/2006/06/oh-no-one-last-day.html' title='Oh no... I am back again. The holidays are coming to an end and the pile of homework is squashing me. Ouch!!! The only thing that could help relive stress was the class gathering yesterday. All our 6j classmates from Nanyang Primary School were invited! =DDDDDDD There were 4 girls and 10 boys. We all gathered at Mabel's house for the gathering. Actually it is rather disappointing as we had 40 people from our whole class invited but only 14 people came. But anyway we had great fun. Everyone reached there by 4pm. First, the girls were playing with the water with their full set of clothes on!!! It was Fong Yi, Mabel and Chern Hwee. Then the boys were playing soccer. there was: Jia Ming, Douglas, Han Bin, Michael, Chieh Loong, Ryan, Kai Yuan, Zheng Yang, Yi Ming, me, and Keith. We were all playing soccer together. It was quite fun, because there were some pools of water near the spot we were playing soccer, and the ball kept falling into them and someone always got to pick it up. And I don't know why, but for some reason the person usually had to be me. And we also played some badminton. It was quite windy so it didn't work out well. Nevertheless it was quite fun too.

After a while it started to rain, so we couldn't barbecue. But anyway we retreated into a small function room to have dinner. My mum had made some pasta, but it seemed liked nobody liked it because it was hardly touched. And everyone was either eating sweets, chatting, playing PSPs, and some were even kicking the ball inside the room. And some people were sweeping the floor as we had been playing soccer and badminton on the grass and had dirtied the floor with clumps and clumps of grass. And the girls even took photos of us cleaning up the area. As there was nothing but a dustpan, we had to use plastic plates to sweep. After many moments, we decided to have a mini badminton tournament of 8 people. Jia Ming, Michael, Chieh Loong, Ryan, Zheng Yang, Yi Ming, me and Keith took part. We played in the function room and used a row of chairs as the net. And you know what? I can't believe that I got 1st!!! But I am certain it was all due to pure luck, because in almost all of the matches I beat my opponent by 5-4! Except for the match with Keith. He kept skidding and falling down. And there were two times when I was challenging Yi Ming and Michael. Both were winning me 4-0, and then you know what happened? I made two comebacks and beat them 5-4 each! And I had not touched a badminton racket for, like, a year!!! Beacause I usually play table-tennis instead. Tell me, if it's not pure luck what is it?!! My last match was with Chieh Loong when I beat him 5-4 out of luck again. (No prizes.)=

After that we took a rest and played PSP (PlayStationPocket) and Keith sent me a 'Crazy Frog' video on my handphone. It was crazy and stupid. We also listened to my Zen Micro, while the girls were listening to iPod. Personally I prefer CREATIVE products to Apple products!!! And we ended the class gathering with a nice match between me and Zheng Yang. And soon everyone had left besides me and Fong Yi and Mabel and Leonard, Mabel's brother. Seeing that there was nothing much to do left, I went home and had a good rest. =)

Anyway if you peoople want to see the photos taken during the class gathering, go to our Primary 6 class blog, at http://6j-oh-five.blogspot.com. You can see the pictures clearly. Okay, I think I have written enough today. Bye.
(Sorry. I have no good jokes at the moment to share. =P)

Stress is coming

Hi everyone. I am back again. Sigh... My homework is in a great big pile and I haven't touched much of it. The only thing I have done so far is a bit of the Maths Statistics poster project and half of the Chinese Dumpling Festival project. And my time for leisure activities has been shortened due to the Operation Bookworm ACE project, whereby you have to read 14 hours a day. And I haven't touched on the IRS project, the reading of the book "Journey Of The West" and doing a book review. And I still have to memorise a speech by some famous people, like Winston Churchill. And Shi Kai wants me to pass him any one of the speeches as he had left his copy in school. And today there is erhu lesson, from 2pm to 4pm. I guess I will pass him the speech later.

And I still have tuition lessons!!! Everything is squeezing me to a pulp. I feel cramped. And every night I sleep late, due to some reason. Most of the time it's because my father is watching the World Cup and I follow him. Or else I am at the computer doing any one of my projects and blogging. And anyway, I am writing this second paragraph after my erhu lesson. And I have passed Shi Kai the Winston Churchill speech. I am thinking of memorising the Malcolm X speech. One good reason is that it is one of the shortest ones. But furthermore, I have looked through the Malcolm X section and I think it is rather interesting. It talks about how Malcolm X feels about Americans and Africans respectively. But the thought that I have to memorise the whole chunk of words make me shudder in fear.

And I am afraid I won't have time to finish all the homework as my mother is planning for the whole family to go Kuala Lumpur for 3 days; Wednesday, Thursday and Friday!!! I guess I am not going. I just have too much homework!!! I think this holiday sucks after all. I thought it would be mostly stress-free. Sigh... Bye.
(Anyway this post was written a week ago but I only put it on today.)

The second week

Hi everyone!!! The second week has finally passed. Actually not yet. There's still Saturday and Sunday. But like last week, there was quite a lot of fun too, at least so far. But yesterday me, Zhen Huai and Ng Ming were starting on the Maths statistics project and that is certainly NOT part of the fun I had over days. And it was almost a disaster as the computer screen kept on flashing off and Zhen Huai had to shake it over and over again. And we only did a little portion and Zhen Huai came 1 hour late in the morning so me and Ng Ming used the time to play table tennis. And after that we went to the library to start on the project as Ng Ming pointed out that the computer labs were being used by the pupils having EC3 CCA, so we had to stick to the library. And while we were starting the computer, there was this thing which kept popping up, stating that 'This might not be a genuine copy of Windows. You might be a victim of software counterfeiting." And the display was also not clear. So we changed computer. The display was slightly clearer, but the "counterfeit" thing appeared again. But there was no other computer, so we had to make do with it. And then when the computer had finally started, Zhen Huai said to use his account, so we agreed. And I was controlling the computer. And he said, "This ia my account so I should use the computer. " So I let him. Then Zhen Huai logged into his IVLE account and we were supposed to download the 'Statistics' notes down from the IVLE, but Zhen Huai went to click on "LIterature". And when I asked, "Shouldn't we be focusing on the project?" He said, "This is my IVLE account. I can do anything I want with it. " I was very angry then but he assured me that it was only for a short while. And after that we started on the project and he let me control the computer again. But when we were surfing for stuff, Zhen Huai wanted to go to a website, so we let him. But goodness knows where he went!!! He went to http://www.lovecalculator.com!!! Could you believe that? And he typed in the names of all sorts of people, including teachers and classmates. And all sorts of percentage figures came out. He even added me in!!! I almost killed him.

And after that we focused on the powerpoint for quite a while and came up with some notes for statistics. But after a few sentences, the librarian told us that the library was about to close, so we had no choice but to leave the library. Thereafter, we went to the place where the whole row of table-tennis tables was and there were some canteen tables nearby as well as a marble table. So me and Ng Ming continued playing table tennis while Zhen Huai went around looking for a Chinese Chess set. Because he didn't know how to play table-tennis and was a Chinese chess addict. A pity the book shop wasn't opened as Zhen Huai wanted to buy a new chess set and get me to play with him. After that Zhen Huai came to my house to do the project. But turned out that nobody had bothered to save the copy of our work at the library so we had to redo everything. At least we remembered the websites we had used to search for data, which was a good thing. But we practically spent the whole afternoon doing a quarter of the whole project. all the way till 5pm. Then Zhen Huai said he was going to go home soon, so we played some computer games together and my mum drove him to Hwa Chong so he could take a bus home.

Sigh!!! By the way, yesterday when I was surfing the net for information with Zhen Huai, an MSN Messenger window suddenly popped out and it was my cousin. Anyone know this Korean drama series called "Da4 Chang2 Jin1"? Well, my cousin gave me a link to a video online. I watched the video. It was really funny. You should go and watch it yourself and should watch carefully the words there. For your information its all Chinese, but its quite easy to understand. That day me and Zhen Huai watched the video over and over again, for more than ten times in a row. Because it was so funny!!! The link is as shown below:
http://flash.cyol.com/product/05121802324416.swf

Was that nice? For your information, I sent the link as an email to all my contacts. For those who didn't get it, well, time to take a break and click on the link above. Laugh till your back breaks!!! Anyway, do you think that this new blogskin portrays clearer words? I certainly think so. And everything is more organised and such, unlike the previous skins. I think I am going to stay put with this blogskin for a very long time.

And yesterday was my father's birthday, or I should say, his birthday according to the Chinese calendar. We wanted to celebrate it for him at Jack's Place but he returned home very late after a meeting. So we had no time to help him celebrate. Such a pity. And yesterday my sister had a camp at the church. And she stayed overnight there. Today she just returned home. We had initially wanted to go to Jack's Place today, but don't know why, we ended up eating in a roadside coffeeshop, curry fish head and stuff. It was not bad too, but at that time I was having a craving for Western Food.

And I created this stupid joke and sent it around in the form of a chain letter. You might want to hear it:

Hi. This is the Commander Of Massacring Men In Towns & Specialist in Unifying Islands and Countries and Implementing Daring Expulsion. (C.O.M.M.I.T S.U.I.C.I.D.E)

Lately, due to the sudden attack by the Martians we have to destroy their transportations. One mainly the Zombie Yo-yo, because it can swing up and down and can float in the air, and it looks like a yo-yo. But some stupid Earthlings call that a U.F.O. Anyway, we have two campaigns for the war: the Campaign of Ramming and Abolishing Zombie Yo-yos and the Campaign Of War. Together, the team is called the C.R.A.Z.Y. C.O.W.

And we have set up another team which would see that our resources do not get stolen. The committee is called G.O.A.T. (Guardians Over Ammunition and Tanks)

However, some countries refuse to cooperate with the C.R.A.Z.Y. C.O.W. to destroy Mars.?Examples are Russia and Persia. So everyone please coooperate and help to C.R.A.P. (Conquer Russia And Persia)

We have some news from Mars. Turns out that the among the Martians, there are many vampires. They have set up orgnisations with Martians who are S.I.A.O. (Specialists In Abolishing Onions)

To destroy the vampires, we have to have many onions. Some people say garlic works and not onions, but perhaps they are so focused on their job to C.R.A.P. that they crap too much. And anyway we have set up a committee to begin the Harvesting Of Onions Lying In Gardens And Nature (H.O.O.L.I.G.A.N.)

Wait till we catch the Martians!!! We shall give them Punches Or Obligations (P.O.O.) to sweep the floors of Earth forever and become lowly servants. We shall also Punish Every Enemy (P.E.E).

So this is part of our Battle for Every Enemy Plan. (B.E.E.P) And we all agree that we should all obey a certain king for the war, so we shall S.U.C.K. (Strike Under the Commonwealth King)

We have agreed with the Martians that a flag should be made and the winner of the war shall get the flag. Don't worry, with the C.R.A.Z.Y. C.O.W, we shall Win The Flag (W.T.F.) !!! Your sincerely, the C.O.M.M.I.T. S.U.I.C.I.D.E.

Well, you can say whatever you want, but I think I have done quite a good job this time, according to feedback from my friends.

And lately I have heard this joke my father's colleague was telling him. Here goes:
A group of people who were talking about many countries who sent astronauts to the Moon. A young boy suddenly chipped in and said, "We should send people to the Sun. " All the other people laughed and one of them said, "Isn't it too hot to send people to the Sun?" The boy said, "Not hot. We can send people there in the evening. "

So did u have enough fun for this post. For the next few posts I shall include more jokes and puzzles, and perhaps riddles this time. Okay, I am feeling a bit sleepy. Bye.

The first week

Hi people!!! I think everyone has had enough of Thailand already. It is the June holidays, so I should blog more. But for some stupid reason my father has confiscated the Broadband Modem that we use to connect to the internet. So do you know how I am posting this? I am first typing it out in a Word document before copying and pasting the whole chunk of words onto blogspot.com. And I am going to bargain with my father for that modem as I am sure this will add to the Term 3 ACE points I get. Anyway, the first week of the June holidays has finally passed. And I shall tell you what happened during this period of time. Of course, I spent Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in Chiangmai.

On Thursday, nothing special, just that we managed to taste some great Singapore delicacies again, instead of the hefty buffet meals in Thailand. And on Friday I wanted to groan because there was CCA. And it had to be at 8 am in the morning. But you know what was so deserving of me groaning of it? The teacher came at 9 am!!! I was rather angry with my leader as he told us to come at 8am. He should have checked with more detail first!!! And to think I could have enjoyed breakfast slowly and slept slightly later!!! Besides that there is nothing else to say for Thursday and Friday.

On Saturday, the whole day was full of classes. First there was the erhu class in the morning by my erhu teacher. Then, in the afternoon there was English tuition. I spent the whole afternoon completing tuition homework. At night, after dinner, I had to read and find new words in the 'Anne Frank' book for the 'Operation Bookworm' project. The whole day was quite mundane. Sunday was quite different. It was full of fun. First thing in the morning we went to church, but the teachers there said there was no Sunday school for children and my sister did not want to enter the big gathering group, so my Mum drove back and we wasted quite a lot of time there. But after that we ate lunch and watched the video of 'she diao ying xiong zhuan', based on the book itself. My mother was so engrossed by it that she watched 8 hours of the video at one go, the last eight episodes, with breaks in between for dinner and household chores. In the evening, I played table tennis with this big group of people and the table tennis table was just outside a function room, where a party was being held. But it was very late already and when the party ended, a man offered us some fruits and some leftover food from the party but we were more engrossed in playing so we rejected. And I was playing as hard as I could and giving out all my best because there was one player who was exceptionally good. I still lost though. Sad.

So that is basically my first week. And I forgot to tell you some of the other activities: playing Chinese Chess with oneself, playing my favourite Chinese pop songs on the piano, reading my favourite books, playing computer games and teaching my sister how to play soccer properly. I hope to have better activities for the second week. And so far I have not touched on any of the holiday homework yet, which are basically projects, projects and more projects. The Geography project is about volcanoes; the Maths project is about statistics; the Chinese project is about the Dumpling festival and such and we still have our IRS project as well as our 2 discussion forums in Literature and our 8 discussion forums in our English!!! That is a lot of work!!! Looks like I got to start work soon.

But I have already started work. I am now trying to find new words in that book for Operation Bookworm. Anyway, I went to the library yesterday and got some books. I intend to use them for Operation Bookworm. But I am not sure if Mr Quek will agree to me using them. ANYONE KNOWS A SOLUTION FOR THIS? Please out it on the tagboard please. Thank You. I think this post is long enough already, so I shall end of with some puzzles:

EASY
There are five girls in a room. The room only has five girls. There are five apples in a basket. Each girl took one apple. If every girl took an apple each and there was nothing else in the room except for the girls, the basket and the apples, why was there still an apple in the basket? (Solution below)

INTERMEDIATE There are 3 men in a coffee shop. Each ordered a cup of coffee. Altogether 12 lumps of sugar were added to the 3 cups of coffee. Each man added an odd number of lumps into each of their cups of coffee. How many lumps of sugar did each man add in their cups of coffee respectively? (Solution below)

HARD There was a man who took a flight from Singapore to Malaysia. He flew on Saturday. The flight journey took 45 minutes. When he reached Malaysia, he rested for a day and had fun for three days before flying back to Singapore. As usual, the flight journey took 45 minutes. When he reached Singapore, it was still Saturday. Why is this so? (Solution below)

SOLUTIONS!!!
For the EASY puzzle: One girl took the basket with the apple in it.

For the INTERMEDIATE puzzle: The first man added 1 lump of sugar to his coffee. The second man also added 1 lump of sugar to his coffee. The third man added 10 lumps of sugar to his cup. 10 lumps of sugar is a very odd number of lumps to add to a cup of coffee!!!

For the HARD puzzle: The name of the plane is 'Saturday'. The man flew on Saturday.

Had enough? Be expecting more in my next post. SEE YA!!! (By the way this is supposed to be written on Monday but my father only gave us the Broadband modem today. And I changed my blogskin. )

The trip

Hi everyone!!! I am finally back from Chiangmai. The trip was quite fun. There were 4 days in Thailand, although we spent the 1st day mostly taking the flight in the afternoon and the last day, which is today, flying back home. (WHEE!!!)

On the first day, we mainly visited the Sunday Market at night, not long after we had came down from the plane. And our tourist bus dropped us down at a market. The stalls were like cramming the whole road and there were stalls on both sides of the road, so it was also quite spacious. There were no cars found. (There were so many people!!!) Maybe that whole road has been approved to be used by stall owners. I bought a nice keychain. It was a hollow glass cross. (I am a Christian. ) The man told me to write my name on a piece of paper. So I wrote. And you know what? He copied my name on a grain of rice on both sides!!! But it was rather visible and quite neat too. And he filled the glass cross with purple liquid and put the grain of rice into the glass cross. And he covered the cross with a little metal cover connected to a band which could be used to attach to a handphone. That was what I did. And it looks so nice on it!!! I didn't know Thailand people were so talented a writing things on grains of rice. Yes, and we bought some other weird things like funky notebooks and such. So that was basically what we did on the 1st day.

On the 2nd day, it was quite fun. We went 'Maesa Elephant Camp'. There were many elephants there and they had amazing talents. What we did first was to ride the elephants for thirty minutes. It was 400 Bahts, which is approximately 13 Sing dollars. It was just so fun!!! We had step onto the elephant's back using a platform because the elephants were just so tall. And there was a short bench on the elephant for us to sit on. (I can't stand sitting on an elephant's bare back anyway. ) The trainer sitting on the elephant's head taught us some Thai words for certain adjectives. For example "Shui jing jing" means "pretty". And he knew a bit of Chinese too. But the fun part was the riding part. the elephant kept rocking side to side , to and fro but it was rather stable. We went uphill and downhill, over smooth surfaces and rough surfaces. It was quite interesting. After we travelled for one round, it was time for the elephants' performance. The elephants supported the trainers with single legs so they could climb onto their heads. They also dragged logs around and the best of all, they drew pictures using coloured markers. There were pictures of elephant heads, flowers, trees and many others. It was so incredible!!! And in the end each painting was sold for 2000 Bahts. And I got all the six pictures on my father's digital camera. I shall post them on this blog if I manage to. And after that we went to see those orchid gardens and such, but I thought flowers were boring. Then we went to see how they made gems and various kinds of skins and leathers. The gems were very nice. But they were too expensive. Sigh! And then we went to a temple. But we didn't go inside. (DUH!!! We are Chiristians!!!) We just bought an ice cream each. Then we had dinner. And since my Mum was not feeling well, we just went back to the hotel instead of the night market.

The third day we spent quite a lot of time on the tourist bus. We were going to Chiangrai, 4 hours for the journey there and 4 hours for the return journey back to Chiangmai. We set off early in the morning at 6:30 Thailand time after our breakfast. When we finally reached Chiangrai, we reached a place where there were hot water springs. Maybe I shall put some pictures of them on this blog too. Our family bought some bird eggs, and you know what? We cooked them in the hot water spring for five minutes. And they were delicious!!! One Thai woman helped us to lower our eggs into the spring using a big basket and I dragged them up after 5 minutes. Den we bought some souvenirs and foodstuff, lyk durian cakes and such. We even drank bowls of bird's nest each. Den we took a boat to Laos as we were at the 'Golden Triangle', consisting of Laos, Myanmar and Thailand. We walked around on Laos for a while and went back to Thailand. A pity Myanmar did not allow us to visit it. But I don't think it is worth visiting anyway. The tourist said that there was one time when there was an outbreak of drug trafficking involving the 'Golden Triangle'. Thailand was involved 10%, Laos 5% and Myanmar was involved 85%!!!!!!!!!!!!! That has left me a bad impression of Myanmar. And then, we went back to Chiangmai and watched movies on the tourist bus, one of which was "Shao Lin Xiao Zi", by Jet Li. Quite nice.

Okay, the last day, which is today is boring. We got up to eat breakfast and flew back here. Hello I am back. But my mum did not bring back the house keys and my father who did not accompany us to Thailand was at a meeting. So my mum entrusted our luggage to our meighbour(Don't worry. The luggage is all combination-locked. ) and we went to take a taxi to somewhere near my father's workplace and ate dinner. My father then fetched us back after his meeting.

Okay, I am kind of tired now. BYE!!! (Do you like my new skin?=D)

THE HOLIDAYS!!!

Hello everyone. Today is the last day of school. And I am going to Thailand on Sunday, specifically to Chiangmai. My mother is the head of a Chinese tuition centre, so she is bringing along all her colleagues and all the 30 over teachers. And she is even paying for the whole trip. Although the managers whom she set up the centre with have the share the cost too. My mother claims that the trip is to let the teachers have better spirit to do their work better. But lately there has been a conflict. One of the administrators wanted to quit the centre. We shall name her as admin 1. So she resigned. But this way, according to the law, she would have no right to go to Chiangmai. So my mother put her foot on the ground and did not want to let her go. However, upon hearing the news, one of the admins, who was very good friends with admin 1, cried and said that my mother was very heartless and that since they had already booked the tickets, they should let admin 1 go. My mum and her colleagues were really troubled by this and they spent a few days considering about this. (By the way, my mum doesn't know that I know what matters there are in her company. Sometimes I appear to be engrossed in my work but I am actually listening to my mum talk on the phone and asking my dad for help regarding company matters. =P)

Well, given my mum's 'soft heart', she finally gave in and let admin 1 go to Chiangmai. Happy story. Anyway, I really hope that I will have a good trip. Let's see: countdown to Thailand is: TWO DAYS!!! I wonder if I have enough time to write two posts for the next two days. Let me think; NO. I have to pack a lot of stuff. Okay, I should stop talking about Thailand. Wonder what is in store for me there. I should talk about more of my other plans. Here goes: I plan to do one project in each week, in the sense that I only focus on one project a week. And I am supposed to read 14 hours a week!!! Not that it is hard, but just that I think I will become a nerd. I plan to invite many good friends to my house: Huang Bin, Zhen Huai, Jia Ming, Kai Kiat....... lots more. I can't finish naming. I am going to play table tennis, Chinese Chess, computer games and lots more. Everyone's gonna have FUN!!! That is the main objective of a holiday anyway. So, I wish everybody gets good holidays and have FUN!!!!!!!!

Jokes Of The Day:
1.I think I have had enough of the bullshit but I love listening to an expert. Keep talking.

2. What is the difference between a hungry beggar and a greedy man?
The beggar longs to eat while the man eats too long.

Enough??? I will try to add more jokes in the next posts. But so far I cannot recall any good ones just yet. BYE!!! =)

ELITE TEN post#8

Hi everyone! Today is when I would have my piano lesson. Actually, this Elite Ten thing has lost its meaning. The ten posts are supposed to be written on the day the blogs were being checked by Mr. Quek, to see if I could think of enough topics to fit the 10 posts. The problem was, I did not have time. So, I could not finish the ten posts I had in mind. And what made me disapointed was: I could not manage to finish the remaining posts even in a week as I am getting busier and busier. I declare that after this post, the ELITE TEN shall come to an end!!! YES IT SHALL!!! I want to have more freedom when I am blogging.

Okay, this morning, I was attending church, as usual. And my friend Yu Xuan accompanied me there as per normal. And he became rather rowdy as usual. He is not a total Christian as he just started to come to church this year. And at the church, we were supposed to give out presents to the adults, among whom my mother was. It is Mother's Day today. But at church, we call it Parents' Day, so both the fathers and the mothers got presents. A pity my father didn't come, or he would have gotten a present. Ha, but I know that we go for church not for that reason. Anyway, my mother got a lunchbox. All the 'mother' presents were all lunchboxes. For the 'father' ones... Maybe got to wait till my father starts to believe on Christianity or when I grow up and, you know...

Okay, enough of this. I am going to attend 'Science Eureka' tomorrow. I hope it will be fun and I hope I will earn some Science ACE from that. OH yeah, I forgot to introduce to some visitors who are not from Hwa Chong ACE. In our school, ACE is basically 15% of our year-end results, and it stands for something--I can't remember--but you can choose whether or not to earn the ACE points yourself. If you want to do it, then you do it; if you do not want to do, then you can just ignore it, but it is your own fault if you get detained at the end of the year for the poor results, in which the lack of ACE, 15% of the marks contributes to. Anyway, let us get back to the topic. So, as I said, I want to get more ACE to get my final results high. Anyway, I have some really funny links here. They are about lip-singing, or whatever it is. You would laugh like crazy. And please, you need Sim Wong Hoo's invention, or you would not think that it is funny.

Numa Numa crazy guy (Don't laugh till you back breaks)
Two weird Chinese boys; one is a sissy (BETTER WATCH THIS!!!)

HAHA! Watched them both? Very funny right? For more on the two weird Chinese boys' videos, you can go directly to their blog: http://twochineseboys.blogspot.com. So far, I have only seen the video above; not the others. Go and watch them. A source of good entertainment. And there is another weird Chinese guy called Jin who created a rap called "Learn Chinese". It is very funny.

Okay, enjoy!!! Bye!

ELITE TEN post#7

Hi! Mr. Quek has finally checked my blog, giving me 3 ACE. 1+3=4. That is still very little. I wish I can get more ACE from the Discussion Forum when it is set up. I have already participated once in the Lit. Discussion Forum already. Anyway, I don't think I can write daily now, since I have to revise for the upcoming Biology Module Exam. I can only afford blogging once a week. Today is Vesak Day, so perhaps I have more time to blog. But I am also going to finish up my leadership portfolio as I have not done the last four article reviews yet. And I am going to play table tennis later, no matter whether I finish the reviews a not. This is as I am too fat, and playing some sports will make me thinner. Another good thing is that table tennis is my favourite sport. And after so many tests, it is time for me to enjoy something I like. And there is good news for everybody(although everybody knows): THE JUNE HOLIDAYS ARE COMING!!! I am going to play ping-pong and Chinese Chess like crazy. I am also going to read Anne Frank like crazy, although I might have already finished it by then. I wonder if I will become a sporty person or a bookworm after the month. Maybe both. Haha.

Anyway, I am still having that erhu lesson, tomorrow. And I have not practised since last week!!! I think I will be very busy today. Oh no! It is already 5.50pm!!! I better finish off quickly. And our IRS project! I totally forgot about that. Me, Jia Ming, Shun Xiang and Kai Kiat. Jia Ming is doing the whole powerpoint while me, Shun Xiang and Kai Kiat are doing the website. (The website is of course more tedious than the powerpoint!) Sigh! At first, I wanted to do something on Chinese martial arts novels, in particular Louis Cha's ones. But our mentor, Bian Jiang teacher, thought that doing about Jin Yong's Chinese martial arts novels was not good as the teachers were using them in the Chinese curriculm for the Upper Sec students and so the teachers might get bored at our subject. So we(maybe only Shun Xiang, Kai Kiat and Jia Ming, not me) agreed on doing on dragon robes. I was not exactly very interested in the topic but being the leader of the team had to agree it. Now I do not hate it so much...

By the way, for my Sabbaticals, I am going for 'Science Eureka'. It is not exactly very bad, but I wished that I had gone for 'Say It Like It Is' instead. This is because I really have very little English ACE. But now come to think of it, I don't have much ACE in Science too. Maybe I shall take it. For physics, I only had 1 ACE, and it is counted in Term 2 as I handed it up late. I do hope I get some ACE for the Australian Science Quiz. Perhaps this is a good time to improve my Science ACE. And I am so disppointed that my Geography got C5. Normally, I would have felt that this is a good enough score, as Geography was a hard and unfamiliar subject to me. But this time, so many people got A1; Shi Cheng, Yu Quan, Shi Kai and many others!!! One reason for this is that I went to revise last term's topics. I thought that we were tested on everything we had learnt from the start of the year. To think that the test was only based on the topics we had learnt after Term1's test!!! I wasted so much time studying Human Populations, all for nothing!!! I feel really disapponted with myself. And why did I play Chinese Chess with Huang Bin and Zhen Huai in the morning of the day of the exam while Jia Ming, Shi Cheng and Yu Quan, a whole lot of them, were revising their files. Sometimes I really don't have self-control.

Forget it. I must study really hard for the mext row of tests. That was what I did when I was in primary school, but now I only revise my work on the day before a certain test. I must do what I did for primary school: study a few weeks before a test. That was how I got high positions in class each year for the overall exam results. Now, I have forgotten all about it. I have to use that method, especially for Geography. And... I am going to try to talk like mad next term. I MUST GET OP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I don't think I will get any good points. I am really a failure...

Friends!!! Help me!!! Jia Ming and me are starting to wish we were in ProEd. Nah, just joking. I cannot bear to leave my great buddies. I will only wish for that if there is a chance for every single boy from 1N to be transferred to ProEd. And if CERTAIN teachers get transferred over there too. And if we are still called 1N. Never mind. That's kind of impossible. And speaking of ProEd, they had their ProEd night yesterday. And my friend from ProEd, Kai Yuan, said that Chee Yang was present at the ProEd night, singing them a total of five songs. Sigh!!! If only iSpark had this sort of talent. And ProEd won practically 1st for every event at the Annual Sports Meet. IF ONLY ISPARK WAS THIS GOOD!!! The only consolation is that our class's term 1 overall test results was the best in the level. I hope our class remains this way for this term's tests.
Then I will consider whether or not to have the idea stay in iSpark. But come think of it, iSpark is supposed to be the consortium with the smartest students, so perhaps it is just normal that we topped the level. We should also excel in other areas. Don't tell me that iSpark is only full of nerds and bookworms?

Okay, enough talk. I think that I should stop here, since this post is getting a bit too long. Or if I am in a good mood, I shall continue in a new post. Let's end this with a joke:

The Brainwave

One afternoon, Mary was going to write a letter to her cousin Elise. But she did not know the address to her house. Just then, her brother, Tom, came about of his room, yawning, and Mary asked him what Elise's address was. Tom replied sleepily, "Well, I don't know. Why don't you write her a letter and ask her?"

ELITE TEN post#6

Hello again. Honestly, I do not know what else to talk about. Well, today is a very mundane day. Although it is supposed to be a holiday. I just woke up at 7.30am and blogged until12.40pm(now on my clock), with an interval of breakfast in between. And only my mother is at home. My father and my sister have gone to work and school respectively. And I am here facing the screen and blogging, blogging, blogging. I think I will die. I am going to revise for my history test later and my Chinese compo test. I hope I get A1 for my history. And now, my mother is chatting on the phone about her job. The only thing she has done for this whole morning is buy breakfast, eat breakfast, do household chores, watch television and talk on the phone. For me , only eat breafast, blog and flipped through the Straits Times for content on the post below. I think history would be rather easy as it is all about memorising facts and dates. Only that the test is tested on a whole tedious chapter. I will have to memorise quite a lot. And for the Chinese compo test, I think I have confidence in doing well, although maybe not getting an A1 as it is quite impossible. I must try my best! I must not let my everyone and myself down.

Enough of this. I think I will stop here beacause I have nothing else to write about. Now, I am going to talk about the elections. On that day, I wanted to stay late to watch which party would win the election, but I felt tired and my father assured me that there would be a replay in the morning of the following day. So, I fell asleep. On the next day, however, I woke up really late. But I was told that PAP won. YES! Actually, I rather support PAP as in this few years, I feel that Lee Hsien Loong has been doing a great job in governing Singapore. I cannot imagine a totally alien government ruling over Singapore. I would feel very strange if the Worker's party, Singapore Democratic Alliance or Singapore Democratic Party took over PAP's job. Singapore would seem a bit chaotic if that really happened.

Besides, I am not sure if the other parties would do a good job in ruling Singapore when they take over. They might rule the country carelessly and wreak havoc in Singapore. However, the PAP so far has been ruling Singapore carefully and efficiently. So I really trust them to be our leaders. Lee Hsien Loong is one of my most honoured leaders, as well as Lee Kuan Yew. The both of them are very patriotic as everything they do is for the sake of Singapore. Lee Kuan Yew is a known great leader, according to the history of Singapore. Even Lee Aw praised him for that. Lee Hsien Loong is also a great leader. In any way, both the father and the son are good rulers. They are also very humorous, yet still performing their jobs efficiently. All these years, I have only heard praises and no negative comments about the duo. Therefore, I am happy that PAP stays our ruling government. Out of so many parties, I would choose PAP.

However, one thing that makes me sad about this election is that Mr James Gomez actually lied to the government, saying that he had handed up the minority certificate when it was in his business case all the while. ( Below from The Straits Times May 4 )It was said that his aim was to fix the government. Mr Lee said that Gomez would have exploited the situation if it was not for the Elections Department's closed-circuit TV (CCTV) footage and the tape recording of the phone conversation its officials had with Mr Gomez. Mr Lee thought that if there were no CCTV to prove Mr Gomez did not submit his application for a minority certificate as he claimed, he asked, "Do you think Gomez would have said, 'Oh, thank you very much, I made a mistake, I found my envelope''?" Mr Lee thought that Gomez would have accused the department of fixing him, losing his form, and being "at the very least incompetent, maybe crooked". He would probably have said that PAP was a crooked system as they lost his form. Thank goodness the certificate was found in his business case. Sigh! How can Singapore have such people?

I hope PAP will continue to rule us on as it has been doing a good job out of it so far. Okay, I hope Mr Quek manages to catch this post. Bye!!!

ELITE TEN post#4

Oh no! I said that I would get up at 5.30 am to blog, and my ears just don't want to cooperate with the alarm clock!!! Goodness me! It is 8 am plus already! Hope Mr Quek doesn't check in the mornings. Ok, today, I am going to talk about music. Out of all genres of music, I like pop music the best, whether it is in Chinese or English. My favourite English singer is... I don't have any favourite singer. I only listen to songs which I think are good and they all come from different singers. One of my favourites is the song you are listening to now on my blog. It is not exactly very hip-hop, but is not exactly very romantic and calm either. I prefer this type of music. For Chinese pop songs, my favourite singer is J.J Lin Jun Jie. He sings really great and composes the music for his songs. And yet he can still produce such great songs. This proves that he has remarkable talent. I deeply admire it. And the best part of it, he is a Singaporean!!! He has certainly done Singapore proud. His songs are sometimes soothing and sometimes jumpy, but all of them are great. So far his latest album, "Cao cao " has been a great hit. I suggest that everyone go and buy it. Unless you are not a pop song fanatic like me.

I always like to play on the piano any Chinese pop song which I think is nice. I always assign chords to my hands, making the melody flow as in the song itself. So far, I have only failed one or two. For the others, I managed to play the main parts and the chorus. Classical music is not exactly very nice to me. Although I have to play them for my piano lesson. And since I am taking the Grade 7 exam soon, I have to keep practicing and practising the pieces and the scales. They are rather boring. But my piano teacher just wants to play them. Actually classical music is not exactly that bad. It is just very boring to me and I cannot explain why. Sorry if I offended you, classical music fans.

Actually, different people have different interests. For example, my father likes songs in the 70's while my sister and I like contemporary music more. My mother, on the other hand, likes soothing and calm music, always listening to Kevin Kern. And if you had seen in the newspapers, one of the young actors in the movie 'I Not Stupid 2' was a very good pianist. They said that the boy was a fan of classical music instead of contemporary music. That's rather surprising.

Ah... seems like I cannot finish the 10 posts by today. I will have to finish some other day. Sigh! I do hope I get enough English ACE. I do not want my year-end results to be horrible. Mr. Quek, please be lenient in ACE giving!!!

Okay, if I can, I shall start on the next post. If not, I shall continue next time. Bye!!!

ELITE TEN post#3

Yawn! I want to sleep. Yet I cannot. I must finish the ten posts. I must blog like mad. This post is going to be about movies. So far, the best movie I have ever watched should be 'Kung Fu Hustle'. It is really nice. I hope everyone has watched it. It is not only about punching and kicking; it is also about the relationship of townsfolks and many other good virtues. But actually it makes people laugh more. It is full of action and laughter. It is really a good show if you want to stay happy. It keeps you energetic and full of pep. It can keep your spirits up if you are feeling depressed or feeling lonely and sad. That is because the funny parts are really funny and entertaining. If you ever want the disc, I can lend you. Ask me in Hwa Chong.

'I Not Stupid 2' is also a very entertaining movie. It is very funny and Jack Neo is really skilful when it comes to bringing laughter between tears. At a touching moment, He suddenly brings laughter by adding a funny scene. There is one moment in the show when Chengcai's father is in a hospital and his friend is explaining to Chengcai how much his father loved him. That moment is supposed to be very touching, but the way the woman snifled was so funny that we all laughed out loud in between tears. (not me!!! I seldom cry. ) The movie also shows parent-to-child love as well as teacher-student relationship. It shows how some parents fail to communicate with their children while some teachers are not sure how to get their students to work properly and use the wrong method, like scolding them harshly, which does not really make them listen, only making them more defiant. It is a very good movie. I suggest that those who haven't watch this movie WATCH IT QUICKLY(!!!) while those who have watch it, you are lucky. I think some of our teachers need to watch that movie to know how to handle students properly.

Okay, I think I have talked enough already. Now, I shall end this post with riddles and jokes:

Which Jobs owns a fruit?
Steve Jobs. He owns Apple.

Teacher: An abstact noun is something you cannot touch or feel. Peter, name me an abstract noun.
Peter: A red hot poker. You cannot touch it.

One day, in a classroom, there was an exam going on. When the exam started, everybody was writing furiously, but there was one boy who just wrote for a while and and was snoring away. The invigilator went over to his seat and askedhim, "Boy, are you relaxing?" Feeling dazed, the boy replied, "No, I am Gurmit Singh!"

ok, the end of this post. Seems likeI cannot finish the10 posts by today. MaybeI will wake up at 5.30am andcontinue doing. I don't think Mr Quek will check my blog at that time. So seeya!

ELITE TEN post#2

Okay, to get some content for writing the ELITE TEN, I shall use Chinese martial arts novels as a topic. Remember when I said that I liked Chinese martial arts novels? You will perhaps wonder what is so nice about Chinese martial arts novels? Now, I am going to briefly introduce one of my favourite Louis Cha novels. The first one is she diao ying xiong zhuan. The story's main characters are Jiang Nan Qi Guai, Qiu Chu Ji, Yang Kang, Guo Jing, Huang Rong, and the Five Great Powers. The Five Great Powers are five people who have the best skills in martial arts. They are Wang Chong Yang, who is the elite among all the five people, North BeggarHong Qi Gong, South Poison Ou Yang Feng, East King Duan Huang Ye and Dong Xie(xie meaning very weird and eccentric). The five people once fought on the summit of Hua Shan as they were fighting over a Jiu Yin Zhen Jing, which contain powerful skills for martial arts.

The story sets in niu jia chun, where Guo Xiao Tian and Yang Tie Xin were sworn brothers. They met Qiu Chu Ji, who was the best disciple of Wang Chong Yang, among the Quan Zhen Qi Zi, seven disciples of the deceased Wang Chong Yang. He became good friends with the duo, and even gave names to the babies in both men's wife's wombs: Guo Jing for Guo Xiao Tian and Yang Kang for Yang Tie Xin. He also gave the two men two daggers, carving on 'Guo Jing' and 'Yang Kang'. The two sworn brothers and neighbours exchanged the two daggers. However, soon, war broke out. The King of the Jin people, known as Wan Yan Hong Lie, instructed people to kill the two sworn brothers. One night, Bao Xi Ruo, the wife of Yang Tie Xin, saw a man lying on the ground, an arrow stuck on his stomach outside the house. He wanted to tell his husband, but Yang Tie Xin was snoring away. Being kind-hearted, she rescued the man by plucking out the arrow and hid him in the shed, nursing his wound and feeding him. She did not know that that was Wan Yan Hong Lie. The next morning, the man was gone. All the while, Yang Tie Xin did not know of anything. At that point, Qiu Chu Ji had left. The two men tried to escape and Guo Xiao Tian died in the process of killing the enemies while Yang Tie Xin managed to escape. The two respective wifes, Bao Xi Ruo and Li Ping, were caught. Bao Xi Ruo was taken to meet Wan Yan Hong Lie, who wanted her to be his wife as he saw that Bao Xi Ruo was beautiful. Bao Xi Ruo had no resistance but was still thinking of Yang Tie Xin, so although she was taken to the palace, she requested to live in a normal house in niu jia chun to remind her of the old days. She even made people to shift everything from her house in niu jia chun to the house to make it seem like the house she and Yang Tie Xin once lived in.

Li Ping was captured and prepared to be killed but some Mongolians killed the people who captured her. At that time, she was near Mongolia. She survived luckily as she was in a carriage. That night, she gave birth to Guo Jing, on the same night which Bao Xi Ruo gave birth to Yang Kang. She found a place in Mongolia and a built a house, bringing Guo Jing up there. One day, Guo Jing witnessed a battle between some Mongolians and some Jin people. The Mongolians won and the head of that Jin group, Zhe Bie, escaped after his troops' defeat and hid under a stack of hay. He saw Guo Jing and requested Guo Jing to bring him food and water. Guo Jing helped him. However, Zhe Bie was soon found and Guo Jing was captured. In the end, Zhe Bie surrended to the Mongolians and became part of them, having a nickname called, "The God archer" as he was very skilful in archery. Guo Jing and Li Ping were also invited to live in one of the Mongolian tents. Guo Jing grew up there.

Meanwhile, after what happened, Qiu Chu Ji had been searching for Guo Xiao Tian and Yang Tie Xin, but only saw Guo Xiao Tian's corpse and assumed Yang Tie Xin was dead. He made two tombs and vowed to pay revenge for them. Soon, he met the Jiang Nan Qi Guai, 6 men and 1 woman who were a team which always helping the good with their various powers. Qiu Chu Ji had a challenge with them. He would find Yang Kang and train him in martial arts while the Jiang Nan Qi Guai would find Guo Jing and also bring him up in martial arts. 18 years later, they would meet at a particular restaurant and the two disciples would have a duel against each other. Jiang Nan Qi Guai accepted the challenge. Qiu Chu Ji found Yang Kang, who was in the state of Jin, in the palace. However, he found out that Yang Kang's personality was not good, so he only thought him the basics of his martial arts. He almost wanted to kill Bao Xi Ruo, as he thought that she was only interested in riches, but he saw that Bao Xi Ruo was not betraying as he saw her crying every day over Yang Tie Xin's metal spear, so he did not kill her.

On the other hand, Jiang Nan Qi Guai found Guo Jing in Mongolia. They taught him martial arts willingly as he was good-hearted, but Guo Jing was rather stupid and couldn't learn well. After 10 years, Guo Jing learnt a lot of martial arts and started going to the place for the duel. He met Huang Rong, who was the daughter of Huang Yao Shi. Guo Jing and her fell in love. And after that they... if you are interested, please go and but the book itself. It can be sold at any big-variety bookstores. Too keep this post from being too long, I have to do this. =P Okay, now are my feelings for this book.

I feel that this book is very good as it talks about the lives of the people in ancient China and it also encourages good moral values. One example is that the book tells us to be fillial to our parents and to be loyal to our friends. It also points out that we should help the weak and the poor. I gladly recommend this book to every one of you. If only there was an English version of this book. I would gladly, for once, like to do English Literature on this. Maybe I could help to find an English version. Okay, enough talk. NEXT POST. bye.

You find something weird below?

Hello everyone! I am back again from Woodbridge Hospital. I had been playing scissors-paper-stone with the principal and of course I won. How can anyone beat such a worm like me in scissors-paper-stone? I am really sad that I won. I am going to treat my whole family of appleheads to a feast of camel butts. I will have to go to a posh jewellery shop in the Antartica to enjoy the delicacy. I wish Osama Bin Laden was here. He would be able to solve any Maths problem and can help us fix lunch. If only I were in Changi Prison. I heard that they offer free food and free housing there. For Woodbridge Hospital, my applehead parents George Bush and Fann Wong have to pay a monthly fee of 3000 rupees to get me into that special school. And I have to wipe people's sweat of their necks after they exercise. They give me 1-cent coins for that. Imagine one day when I earn enough money, I will help Daddy and Mommy to pay for my stay at the second heaven, which is Woodbridge Hospital. I consider Changi Prison as the first heaven. Okay, I have to sink my teeth into those delicious and fragrant camel butts soon. So bye! (P.S. Remember to buy me a packet of chicken heads from the pharmacy. I will pay you back two pieces of jigsaw puzzles when you give it to me.)

Haha! So did you like my rubbish post? It is supposed to be entertaining. Okay, time for seriousness. Now, I am sadder than ever. For my English, I only have 1 ACE!!! The lowest of the whole class!!! Mr. Quek says that the only way for me to earn more ACE is to blog like crazy, so I intend to add 10 posts today. I am getting more depressed. Actually, on the surface, I may seem very cheerful at all times, but sometimes, I am really sad and really want to cry out loud. Especially in school. My English ACE is one thing, but there are still many other things to feel sorrowful about. Lately, I have been at a website, which is quite useful. It is allows us to find people easily. You should register for it. To try it click here. I am feeling much better than yesterday. So I should have the time and mood to finish ten posts. I really hope I can get enough ACE. I do not want to get detained. Especially since I am in iSpark and it is supposed to be a good consortium. I do not want to let my teachers and parents down, neither do I want to let myself down.

Oops. I just tried that website. Maybe it is not as good as it is. Because it seemed as though you were searching for a needle in a haystack. But you could try it if you wanted to. Anyway, today, I watched some of 'Phenemenon'. It is quite nice but I am really not used to American English, or whatever language it is. The main character is this person called George Malley(not sure if spelt correctly). He somehow gains magic powers, which allow him to move things around with his hand from a distance as well as predict things correctly. He can even cause minor earthquakes in his crush's house. I wish that I could watch the whole movie, but Mr. Quek said that he did not have enough time to screen the whole thing as there is only Wednesday and on that day there is not enough time.

Sigh!!! Perhaps my next post shall be a bit more interesting than this one. I hope I can finish 10 posts. LOOK UPWARDS!!! THE SECOND POST OF THE ELITE TEN GUILD!!!

Death and sorrow is on my way

Oh hi everyone. Actually, I don't have the mood to blog today, because something which happened lately struck great sorrow in me. It is probably the saddest thing I have ever encountered. If I tell you would either laugh or not understand. Forget it. Nevertheless, blogging is supposed to keep one cheerful and let one release all of his feelings. Well, that secret thing explains the 'sorrow' in the title. (It is a huge secret. If you want to know, find me in school and I will tell you everything. Not for teachers though. ) The 'Death', well, is the feeling that I will get a large F9 for my Geography test. I hope it doesn't ruin my overall test marks. I have been getting everything A1 so far. Although Literature A2. (Darn! Missed by 0.75!) I am quite certain that for Geography, I am totally dead. I better get C5. For history I am not that scared. After all, it is mostly about memorising facts and dates. I am more worried about the time. I might not have enough time to finish the paper, since there is a structured essay that will take up 20 minutes of my time and I am always very long-winded. I don't think I can survive. But
I should have confidence in myself.

Okay, let's forget about tests. You are probably annoyed at how much I have written about tests. But you cannot deny that I have been adding many jokes to the blog lately right? Honestly, sometimes, I feel as though the whole world is unfair. I don't know why but I just have that feeling. If you feel the same, come and find me. We are in the same boat. I want to vent out all my frustration and anger. And sorrow. I want to find a place to vent out all these feelings. TV shows and books don't help. Even music is getting away from me. And it is supposed to be one of my best ways to relax. I feel cramped, squashed like a big jelly in a small container. Somebody help me! I think this post is going to be very short. I really feel stressed. Okay, I think I have to go. To relieve stress, the next post shall be a rubbish post. This sentence will be an example: Due to the chirping of the birds, I have not been eating my lunch lately. I will probably have to play soccer to keep up with my work.

So bye till the next post!(I have no mood for blogging.)

weekends and holidays

Hello there. The weekends are here. So far, I have been keeping up with my 'every day add one post motto'. Anyway, today is polling day. I do not need to go for tuition, specifically The Learning Lab. A pity I still need to go to the erhu class. Actually it is not much of a pity. As I said in my last post, erhu is fun and interesting. However, the teacher only taught me how to improve some of the basics. For the rest of the time he was bragging about his achievements and how he came from China to Singapore, and about his students etc. I heard that he is already a PR of Singapore. By the way, I need to go all the way to his house for classes. It is at Serangoon, Sunnydale Condominium. That is quite far from my house and the fee is expensive. I hope it would be worth it.

I am going to enjoy this holiday once and for all. There is only the citation of sources of our Lit. reports and a Math assignment for homework. Plus next week, there are only a few days of school, so I can just unwind. I am also going to blog as much as I can to get English ACE. That includes reading Anne Frank for Operation Bookworm. This holiday is going to be an eventful one. I am going to play table tennis and Chinese Chess for as long as I care. And the thought of the June holidays makes me even more ecstatic. I am going to Chiangmai, Thailand, along with my mother, sister and my mother's colleagues. I hope the trip will be fun. A pity my father cannot come with us; he still has to go to work. However, I think it will still be fun with the whole lot of us. And I vow that I am going to watch finish the whole episode of 'she diao ying xiong zhuan', as in the VCD. I am also going to read finish Anne Frank. I will also... forget it. There are really too many things one can do in a holiday. By the way, I have remembered a joke which Justin told me. Here it goes.

"Now, I am going to tell you four stories. The first story is: Once, there was a husband and a wife. The husband was driving. The wife told the husband, 'Turn right.' But the husband went straight. The wife asked, 'Why didn't you turn right?' The husband slapped the wife and said, 'Are you driving or am I driving?' The second story is: Once, there was a husband a wife. The wife was cooking. The wife told the husband, 'Pass me some oil. ' But the husband passed her water. The wife asked, 'Why didn't you pass me water?' The husband slapped the wife and said, 'Are you passing or am I passing? ' Now, I am going to tell you the last story. "

Okay, the funny part is coming. When the listener says, "I thought there were four stories? ", you attempt to slap him and say, "You tell story or I tell story?!"

By the way, I invented this lame story. Here goes:
There were two young boys called Ben and The Cat. The Cat and Ben were good friends. They went to school together and always participated in the same activities. One day, The Cat ran out of money. He wanted Ben to treat him to lunch after school. Ben refused to as he said he wanted to try eating a new dish for lunch, which would cost him all his money. After school, The Cat kept on persuading Ben, but Ben would not listen. Feeling hopeless, The Cat was curious as to what new dish Ben was having. So he followed Ben secretly. However, halfway across the road, a car knocked him dead.
There are two morals of this story:
There is no free lunch in this world.
Curiousity killed The Cat.

Pls tag if this is funny. If you don't you are saying that this joke sucks.
Okay, I am going for ping-pong, my favourite sport. See ya next time? Do send jokes to my gmail address: MaNgOtan93@gmail.com. Junk like chain letters will not be tolerated.
P.S. I had a look at Kai Kiat's blog. The posts are so short!!!

My CCA

Hello there. Today at school, I had my CCA (or EP3), which was Chinese Orchestra, particularly the erhu. I rather like my CCA. Actually, initially, I had put six choices for my CCA. The first was Chinese chess, my favourite board game. The second was table tennis, my favourite sport. I only went for the trials for these two. The others were some sports like badminton, tennis and there was robotics. However, one day, after I put in my six choices, Mr. Sung Kah Kee, the head of EP3, wanted to see me. I had not been selected for any of my choices!!! He then offered me some choices for my CCA: St. John's, and since I had piano musical background of Grade 6 practical and Theory, he let me choose 3 other CCAs: Band, String Orchestra and Chinese Orchestra. I was not sure which one to choose, but I randomly picked one: Chinese Orchestra. And I did not regret that decision. This CCA turned out to be great.

At first, I did not know how to play the erhu at all, but after a few sessions, I got the fundamentals of it. I turned out to be interesting and fun. And after a test, the erhu teacher selected me and my primary school friend, Kai Yuan, my primary school classmate, to be his students. This was as he said that teaching in a group was not efficient enough, he had to give private tuition. Me and Kai Yuan were chosen. He said that we were lucky to have been chosen by him as he was a well-known and international erhu teacher. The others would have to learn from other teachers. I was rather puzzled as Kai Yuan could not catch up with learning, and for the test, he seemed to have done badly. However, I later learnt that the erhu teacher was picking out the determined and industrious students to teach. This solved my doubt as to why Shi Kai, such an experienced erhu player, could not become our teacher's student. Okay, so from tomorrow onwards, I will be having erhu tuition with my teacher at 9.30 am. I have to go all the way to Serangoon, his house. The fee is very expensive: $260 a month! I am going to try it out for one month. If it is worth the money, I will continue.

Chinese Orchestra is really nice. However, the training hours are tedious: 8 hrs per week. Plus my private tuition: 8 hrs and 45 min a week. And all squeezed on three days. By the way, my tests are getting pretty good. I have got back all my test marks, except for Integrated Humanities. So far my average MSG is 7/6=1.11... Not bad. My only regret was getting an A2 for Literature. And I missed A1 by 0.75!!!! Mr. Quek, why couldn't you just give me one mark! Haha. I know it is nobody's fault. It is all my fault for sucking at Literature. And speaking of weak subjects, there is another one for me: Geography. I do hope I can get at least a C5. I know that will be hard because Geography is always exceptionally hard and is always the one which brings down my marks. I got E8 for the last test. Horrible. But if I get C5 for Geography and hopefully A1 for History, I am going to get an average MSG of 1.28... That's reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeely good. Better than what Chao Xu got in the last test. I wonder if I can achieve that. There is a possibility. Well, I still have to read Anne Frank and revise for my history. Well, let's end off this post with a joke:

Teacher: Peter, form a sentence with the word 'gladiator'.
Peter: The lion pounced on the old woman and was glad he ate her.
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
P.S. Do you notice that this post is full of colons? =P

Tests

Hi everyone! I am sure many people are really depressed over the tests and their test marks. Well, for me, I either play Chinese Chess or table tennis, or even go blogging to relieve stress. There is still another way... Never mind. But honestly, blogging is really unwinding, because I can put all of my feelings in I would like to relate to what happened yesterday. I was participating in the Maths Trail. The whole thing proved to be really messy. I was having lunch first with our leader Toon Min. That was while Jia Ming was playing chapteh in class. (He kept hitting the ceiling!!!) After lunch, we proceeded to the library for the trail. We were supposed to go from station to station, getting clues as to where each station might be. That was when I started telling the RI lame jokes to Heng Rui and friends. It was supposed to be fun, but after time, it became disastrous, all thanks to our temporary chairman--------Goh Id. I shall not speak any bad of him, or it would be ruled as a heavy offence: flaming. But he refused to cooperate with me, Jia Ming and Toon Min, who was our leader. The first station was at our own class. The clue was: last of the first. 1N! we were supposed to do 3x3 and 5x5 magic squares. But Goh Id kept disturbing us and anyhow doing. In the end, I got the 3x3 one, but time was already up. Then, the clue was: 2 Netherlands. Easy. 2N. There, we had to complete a sudoku. Fun but irritating for those pestered by Goh Id. We didn't complete it. And you know why. Then, we went to the table tennis tables as the clue was ping pong. There were 4 puzzles. We completed them all miraculously, and handed in. You know why? Goh Id was busy slacking----Playing table tennis. The last station was the in front of the statue of Tan Kah Kee.
We were supposed to measure the height of the clock tower with a protractor and a straw which you could see through. As usual, Goh Id made a fool of himself, like standing in front of the clock tower and trying to distract us. Needless to say, we did not complete thid one. I think there was still another one... Never mind. So we went back to the library and were released. SIGH! To think that I took leave from my CCA Chinese Orchestra to participate in this USELESS Maths Trail! Waste of time! Actually, the whole thing was quite nice. Just that GOH ID had to spoil it all. Okay forget it. Talking about it just makes my blood boil. See ya till the next post, which should be tomorrow. (The timings are all wrong. ) And pls tag. Bye!

LAME jokes from RI

Hello everybody! Hope you like my new rainbow blogskin. Anyway, I am feeling relieved again. The tests have finally passed. Lately, I have been hearing a whole lot of jokes--lame jokes-- from my tuition classmate from RI. I have heard that those jokes were spreading around the school like mad. Yet they are really LAME! Of course, I am going to share with you the six lame jokes I heard, all at one go. Sit back and Relax!

1. Purple fashion
One day, there was a boy who was walking to school. Just then, he saw someone wearing a T-shirt with the words "Purple Fashion". He became curious. In class, he asked his teacher. His teacher gave a shocked gasp and said, "YOU! GO TO THE PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE NOW!" The boy went there. In the office, the principal asked him, "Boy, why are you here?" "I was punished by my teacher." "For what?" "I asked her what was purple fashion. " Upon hearing this, the principal gave a shocked gasp and shouted, "You are expelled!" Confused, the boy wandered along the streets.
Soon, he came across a policeman. "Boy, why are you wandering on the steets?" "I was punished by my teacher and principal for saying 'Purple fashion'. " The policeman quickly brought the boy to jail.
After 20 years, the boy was to be released. The warden asked him, "Why are you jailed here for?" The boy(actually man) told him what had happened. The warden said, "GET OUTTA HERE!!!"
The boy, now a man, wandered on the streets. Just then, he saw an old man. Still curious about the two words, he asked, "Sir, do you know what is'Purple Fashion'?" The man replied, "Oh, that. Well, cross that road and look behind that building. Then you will know. " The boy quickly followed the instructions. However, halfway across the road, a car ran him over and he died.
Moral Of The Story: Look left and right before you cross the road.

2.Little Gold Men(Don't get confused)
One day, five little gold men were taking a walk along the little gold countryside. Two of the little gold men thought that the walk was boring, so they headed back home. The other three little gold men went along the little gold hill, down the little gold path, and saw a little gold house. They rang the little gold doorbell. A little gold old man welcomed them in and they sat on the little gold chairs. The old man asked what the little gold men would like to eat. Two wanted Mee Rebus while one wanted Nasi Lemak. The little gold old man went into the little gold kitchen to prepare. After a while, the man served the little gold plates on the little gold tables and the men ate. After that, the little gold men went out of the little gold house, down the little gold path, over the little gold hills and back to their little gold homes.
Moral Of The Story: Mee Rebus is more popular than Nasi Lemak. (Because two men ate Mee Rebus while One man ate Nasi Lemak! HAHA!)

3. Siew Mai and Fishball
A Siew Mai and a fishball were good friends. One day, the fishball wanted the Siew Mai to buy Fried Rice, but the Siew Mai bought Laksa instead. The fishball became angry and threw the Siew Mai into the water.

How do you put an elephant into a fridge in 3 steps?
Open the door, put the elephant in and close the door.

How do you put a giraffe into a fridge in 4 steps?
Open the door, take the elephant out, put the giraffe in and close the door.

The Lion King held a meeting for all animals. Who did not come?
The giraffe. (It is in the fridge!)

You are on the bank of a river infested with crocodiles. How do you get across it if there is no bridge or boat and nothing to cling to?
Just swim. The crocodiles went for the meeting.
Haha...The FUNNIEST question is next...

You fish in the water. What do you find?
The Siew Mai. (HAHAHAHA!!!)

4. The Book
There was a man who went to a roadside bookstore. He saw a big book. The old shopkeeper, said, "This is an enchanted book. If you read it, good luck will come to you. It is sold at $150. However, if you do not read all the pages before you read the last page, bad things will happen to you. " The man bought it. At home, the man read the book, but thought it was extremely boring. He even slept while halfway reading it. When he woke up, he had the urge to look at the last page, but remembered the old lady's words. Just then, the wind blew and coincidentally, flipped the book to the last page. The man saw this: "Price Of Book: $3.99."

5. The monk
On December 21st, 1938, a man driving a Ferari crashed into a tree in the middle of a forest at midnight. He saw a temple nearby. There was an old monk. He asked the monk if he could stay there overnight. The monk agreed. While the man slept, he heard a "tok-tok-tok-tok" sound throughout. The next morning, he asked the monk what the sound was. The monk replied, "You must become a monk to know. "
On December 21st, 1939, the same man driving another Ferari crashed into the same tree in the middle of the same forest at midnight. He saw the same temple and the same old monk. He asked the monk if he could stay overnight there; the monk agreed. While sleeping, the man heard the "tok-tok-tok-tok" sound again. The next morning, he asked the monk what the sound was. The monk gave him the same reply, "You must become a monk to know. " This time, the man was so curious that he became a monk. He went to the older monk.
The monk said, "You must travel around the whole world first. " The man did that and after 30 years, went back to the monk. The monk brought him to an underground tunnel and handed him an enormous bunch keys. There was a gold door. The man used the gold key to open the gold door. Then he saw a silver door. He used the silver key to open the silver door. He then used a bronze key to open a bronze door, used a copper key to open a copper door, so on and so forth for 30 years. At the end, he used the styrofoam key to open the styrofoam door and finally knew what the "tok-tok-tok-tok" sound was.
The joke ends here.
I bet you are asking me, "What is the tok-tok-tok-tok sound?" My reply to you is, "I don't know. I am not a monk. "

HAHAHAHAHA!!! The five jokes are really lame, right? All told by and RI guy.
Okay, time to get back to business. I have to complete 17 posts by next week and I plan to write at least a post daily. I planned to start from yesterday, but I was too busy. I am going to write another post today to make up for yesterday. This time, I don't think there will be jokes.
Okay, Bye bye for the time being!

Leisure

Hi there! I am back again. Hope you like my new rainbow skin. It is one of t he 'Skin Of The Day's at http://www.blogskins.com. Anyway, I just finished my Biology, Maths and Chinese tests. And I am going to the Maths trail on Wednesday! I hope it is going to be exciting and fun. I really love Maths, especially Algebra. It is fun and interesting. Mr Quek says that I have to have 17 posts by now. I wonder if I catch up now. I really hope I can have enough ACE as I only have 1 ACE so far. (That sucks!)

Okay, guess I have bored you with my posts regarding work. I took up Huang Bin's suggestion, as seen on the tagboard, and went to http://studentssketchpad.blogspot.com. It is not bad, actually. The comics there are very funny, depending on the subject. The one about the LOST is rather funny. Do go and check it out. The one about the GEPers is quite lame. Cheer up, 1N! Don't get too stressed with work! You must take out some time to unwind and relax. But honestly, there has been another round of tests lately. Round 2, I would call it. I hope it does not affect my leisure time. Especially when I do not have to go to school for a consecutive 3 days! Can you believe it? That rocks. I am going to use this holiday to catch up on my blog ACE, as well as in other areas. My Operation Bookworm is getting on pretty well. I am still reading Anne Frank. I hope that I can switch to another book soon. Lately, I have not been reading Chinese martial arts novels, because I have been busy reading Anne Frank. I have also been busy SMSing my... never mind. Find out from Jia Ming.

Haha. If you would look at my first post, I wrote that I would include jokes. Yet I have yet to include any, or perhaps in the April Fool's post, the 'cat' thing is counted. Okay, I shall add some jokes. Hope they add some colours to your life.
JOKES
1. Teacher: You are what you eat.
Squirrel: Then I am nuts!!!

2. Ali: Dad, may I have a one dollar coin?
Dad: Does money grow on trees?
Ali: Of course it does. Or else why would banks have so many branches?

3. Q: Why did Peter throw the clock out of the window?
A: He wanted to see time fly.

4. There were once three men named Shut up, Manners and Trouble. One day, Trouble was
missing. Shut up went to find a policeman while Manners went to the toilet. The policeman asked Shut up, "What is your name?" Shut up replied, "Shut up." Annoyed, the policeman asked, "Where are your Manners?" The reply was, "In the toilet." The policeman asked angrily, "Are you looking for trouble?" The answer was, "Yes." The policeman fainted.

Hope this ends your day with a smile! Bye till the next post!!!

TESTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my God! I have just realised that the tests are really here! In fact, two of them have passed! For my Maths, I did pretty good, although not really within my expectations. I am using this colour blue, because blue sort of represents gloom, and I am rather gloomy about stress. I hope I do much better in Term 2's tests. For the Term 1's tests, almost all the subjects are below my expectations. I really hope I will do well. I do not want to let myself down again. Lately, I have been... Never mind. It's a secret. You can ask Jia Ming. Argh! I think I have to change my blogskin. It seems to lame for Mr.Quek to bear... Look forward to my newest skin.

Anyway, talking about tests, I hope my Biology won't be flunked. I am quite certain I would get an A1 or A2. For Maths I have gotten A1. That saves me from getting such a high MSG again! I know it will be hard to beat Chao Xu, but I am set on the task. Do not think I am being overconfident, because I admit that I will have like only 10% of beating him. In fact, less than that. But my mother said I should be the top of the class, as I had the highest PSLE T-score in class.(*"Hao-lian!"*) Of course, that doesn't mean that I have to top everything. Honestly, I am not very used to Secondary education. Really. And, lately, I failed my NAPFA test. No big deal. Would you just look at my size. Meanwhile, I would focus on my studies.

Aiya! why do tests exist? The more I talk about them, the angrier I get. Grrrr! Byebye! Stress is coming along my way. Again. I am now more stressed than yesterday. I have to memorise the Snowball and Napoleon mindmaps. Anyway, I am intending on changing my blogskin. The words are rather small, so Mr Quek might complain. The Maths test is coming on Tuesday!!! :( I know that I have already mentioned this in the last post, but then it is just soooooooooooooo horrifying. I have recently been reading a new Chinese martial arts novel, 'tian long ba bu', also known as 'Demi Gods & Semi Devils '/' Heaven Dragon, The Eighth Episode'. It is about this young man called Duan Yu. Okay, at this point of time, Mr Quek would be saying, "Why aren't you reading your Engilsh books for your Operation Bookworm?" Well, I have been reading 'Anne Frank: The Diary of A Young Girl'. In fact, I have been taking out my precious time for reading Chinese martial arts novels to read this English novel. Actually, I like reading this diary. All in all, I still prefer Chinese martial arts novels.

But honestly, I like this English novel. I didn't know ACE projects could be so nice. Reading books. It's one of my greatest hobbies, whatever language it is. Of the English books, I have read: 'Eragon', a bit of 'Eldest', 'Artemis Fowl', 'Artemis Fowl and The Eternity Code', 'Artemis Fowl and The Arctic Incident', 'Artemis Fowl and The Opal Deception', 'Unexpected Magic' by Diana Wynne Jones(not exactly very nice), The Harry Potter series (not all). Of course, I have read lots of other books, but I really want to recommend the books above to everyone. (Although not the Diana Wynne Jones one.)

Everyone, look forward to my new blogskin. I don't want anyone to complain about the small words anymore. (I'm not even sure if anybody would read this.)
Ok! I gotta go. SEE YA!!!

English book recommendation

Hello everyone! I am back again. Well, looks like an array of tests is greeting me again. Sigh! I don't think I have much progress in coping with the great stress. SOMEONE HELP ME!!! Initially, I had no mood for blogging, but on second thought, I felt that blogging could perhaps make me less stressed. On Monday, we're having that Literature test on the mindmaps of Snowball and Napoleon in the book 'Animal Farm'. On Tuesday, I'm having my first 2nd test---MATHS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We begged our teacher, Ms Gwee, not to test us on Algebra. In the end, she agreed. YAY! I'm also having my Biology test on Friday!!!!! Luckily, my Chinese test is on the 4th of May. Still far away!!!

Anyway, the reason I'm posting this is because I want to introduce you to a very nice English novel: Artemis Fowl. I bet most of you have read this rather famous book written by Eoin Colfer, but some of you should still get their fair share of this bundle of joy. (And I am not being sarcastic!!!) This book talks about a young boy called Artemis Fowl, who, in this book, is only twelve years old. He gets in touch with a bunch of fairies, in particular Commander Holly Short, who is kidnapped by Artemis in a bid for Artemis to get the valuable fairy gold. The fairies try to rescue Captain Short. Along the way, Artemis and his companion, Butler, deter the fairies while there are many obstacles to overcome for both sides. There are more: Artemis Fowl and The Eternity Code, Artemis Fowl and The Arctic Incident, along with the latest one currently: Artemis Fowl and The Opal Deception. The whole series is really very good and Eoin Colfer is a very entertaining writer. Therefore, I would recommend this book to everyone.

Okay, I've gotta go! Seeya!

ARGH!!! WORK SUCKS!!!

Argh!!! There's simply too much work! Still must prepare for that Seven commandments thinggi! And I want to watch Chee Yang on TV! And IRS project, for Projects Day preliminary round! I know I have not written for like a few milleniums, but I simply squashed under homework! Sorry, people, for the sudden outbreak, but I think I am rather stressed, that's why I took out time to post something. I suppose everyone have been very busy over the last few weeks. First the horrrrrrrrrrrrible camp, and then the tsunami of work!!! I know Mr Quek rarely gives us homework, but sometimes schoolwork can be more stressful than homework. The new martial arts novel I have started to read, 'tian long ba bu, is not helping me cope with my stress much.

Anyway, I AM going to watch the grand finals today of CAMPUS SUPERSTAR, no matter what happens. I just have to take a good and refreshing break from that detested homework. By the way, something happened today, my Mum broke her leg severely today and had to be admitted to the hospital. Come and visit her at Mount Elizabeth Hospital. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! LATE APRIL FOOL'S DAY!!! I know its 1 day after April Fool's Day. Ahhhhhh...... Yesterday was such a fun day. I can't help thinking of it...

Yesterday, the fun started in the morning. at 9. At the Asian Civilisations Museum. Me, Kai Kiat, Jia Ming and Shun Xiang were there. We were going to get information for our IRS project, in the Language Arts for Chinese category, about dragon robes. It turned out to be fun. First, we all saw a poster. It read: Today's April Fool's Day. There are 4 joke objects placed around the museum. Find all and you might get an ice cream feast...

Of course, we focused on the project first. After that, we went to find the joke objects. There are 4 galleries around the museum. Each has 1 joke object. In the Southeast Asian gallery, we saw a book in the glass called 'Headhunting for Dummies', 19th century, Borneo. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! We laughed so hard and Kai Kiat took it down on the application form for the April Fool's Day contest. The second one was a jade PDA(!!!???) found in the China section. In the West Asia section, we did not find anything hilarous, so Kai Kiat just took down an ancient shopping list he thought he had not seen before. The last one was quite funny. We found a ear lobe(that is what it read on the description) with a 1.7m diameter in the South Asia Gallery. HAHAHAHA! How could anyone wear such a thing on their ears. We finished and came out of the museum.

Ok, the fun part ends here. But there was also fun in the evening. My cousin sent me an SMS:

This cat is cat the cat way cat to cat keep cat a cat fool cat looking cat at cat this cat for cat 30 cat seconds cat. Now read it again without "cat". April Fool's.

Did you fall for the trick?

HAPPY APRIL FOOL'S DAY, EVERYONE!
I have to go now. Campus Superstar has started. Bye!
(By the way, all the timings are wrong. Ignore them.)

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://holycripes.blogspot.com/2006/04/argh-work-sucks.html' title='ARGH!!! Well, everybody is surely in high spirits, right? Recently, I have been reading a Chinese martial arts novel, one of my favourites. It is by Louis Cha(or JinYong), and it is very interesting. In case you don't know, Louis Cha's Chinese martial arts novels are ranked number 1 in the world. For those who do not like martial arts novels, this is not the post for you,
but there is no harm in reading.

When I first read Jin Yong's novels, the first impression was: this is not the book for me. I could not adapt to the weird Chinese language used in them. All poems and such. So boring!!!(YAWN)At first, I bought one of his series in Beijing when my mother told me that it was one of the best Chinese martial arts novels. I was always adventurous to try new things. After reading a few pages of the first book, in the series 'she diao ying xiong zhuan' (Legend Of the Condor Heroes), I stopped. However, after a year, I attempted the book again. That was the greatest thing that happened to me. It turned out that the book had a boring intro but captivating plot. You can guess what happened. I was addicted to it. I read on and on. I was totally hooked on it. In case you do not know, it is the novel with the Guo Jing character.

Thereafter, I continued reading 'shen diao xia lu' (The Return Of The Condor Heroes). It is the one with Yang Guo and the Little Dragon Girl. Now, I am reading 'yi tian tu long ji'(The New Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre). The main character is supposedly Zhang Wuji. (I browsed through the whole series!) Anyway, I think all of the novels are very(x100000000) good. I hope that, everyone here would remember to treasure our Mother Tongue, the Chinese language. I recommend that you read any one of Louis Cha's novels. You might not like it first, but the more you read it, the more you would like it. To arouse more interest(I mean, more people like English), I might add recommendations for English books in my next post(Ng mInG!!!). All the same, I hope you would give a go at these novels. For those who have read it, you are extremelyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy lucky and blessed and fortunate and ...(never mind).

So, bye then, till the next post!!!

Friends

Hi! I'm back again. Well about what I said in my last post, friends can be VICIOUS. WATCH OUT. AROUND YOU. Anyway, I have a friend. He is called Wilson. I believe everyone in class 1N would know him. He is not vicious, but his temper is reeeeelly hard to control. When he's in a good mood, okay, no storm, nothing. But when you irritate him and just overdo it, God knows what might happen to you. Actually, besides his hot temper, he's quite a nice person. He is helpful in class. No wonder he is the chairman of the class. He is quite sociable with us(or why would I consider him a friend?) but his bad temper always gets into the way, resulting in redundant arguments happening and cold shoulders. Ha, friends can be a mixture of good and bad. Well, when you think someone is very good with all the good moral values, look more closely. You never know what would happen to you one day.(To avoid biasedness, I put myself under that category.)

By the way, how many of you think that friends should not be trusted THAT easily? please state on the tagboard. (Only 10 at most). Personally, I think that we should learn to know them a bit more before we actually make friends with them. There is a Chinese saying,'xiao li cang dao', which means that 'a knife might be hidden in a smile'.Meaningful, isn't it? Anyway, I have to go. See you next time!

Relieved stressssssssss

A week of tests has finally passed! The feeling of freedom is just so pure and relaxing! AHHHHHHHHHHHH............so refreshing. Anyway, this is like only my second post.(Actually, tthe first one is not really counted) SUCKS!right? Everyone needs to take a good rest after such a long week. SORRY! I really was very busy the past few weeks and did not have enough time to post anything. Anyway, my name is Yu Song. I am from Hwa Chong Institution. The template of my blog was made a few days ago after the tests. (HAHA- only those who read the blog closely can know some of my personal information.) The topic today is friends. Friends can be kind, friend can be helpful, but some have an unseen dark gleam their hearts and are vulgar.(Ng Ming-just joking) Anyway, talking about vulgarities, my friends fit the description. Huang Bin likes to say,'ta ma de', Zhen Huai like to say,'hell you' and Ng Ming likes to say, 'Fudge to you'(haha, so funny I can say,"strawberry"). Actually some are not considered vulgarities, just some word habits. Friends are all so unique.

Despite their bad points, friends have their good points too.(I mean, they might kill me if I didn't write this!) For example, Huang Bin and Ng Ming are both very helpful and often help the teachers. Kai Kiat and Wilson are the monitor and chairman respectively, so it is their responsibility to be helpful, but I daresay they have both done(and are still doing)a good job in maintaining class decorum, keeping the class clean etc. There are also many other good jobs by the other members of the class. (Sorry if I didn't mention yours). Anyway, friends are both good and bad. In my next post, I will tell you more about them.

Welcome to the rainbow world!

In my blog, I am going to include all types of articles, jokes, fun facts, anecdotes and humorous stories.
